Altec in movies

I watched "Walk Hard: the Dewey Cox Story" last night (very funny movie), and in one 1950's scene he's playing in a theatre on the stage of which, outside the proscenium arches actually, are a pair of 825 cabs, with no horns.
Does anyone know of other movies where Altec's made a cameo?

There are lots but just a couple come to mind....

In the 1978 "Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band" movie you see lots of VOTTs.

In "Saturday Night Fever" you see the white-painted VOTTs on the dance floor.

Yeah, lots of movies with dance, band, and/or recording studio scenes with Altec gear.

Don't remember the movie other than the scene showing A7s with dual stacked 511s at each end of a long couch. You don't see the opposite wall, but I assumed at the time it was a quadraphonic set-up since it was the 'happening thing' in HIFI at the time.

Up to that time it was too obvious for me to have considered this as a viable alternative to 'having my cake and eating it too' WRT regaining the lost mids 'fullness' when I opted to replace 805/288s with 511/802s to extend the highs.

in Forrest Gump, when they are showing the demonstration at the mail in Washington DC. Somebody goes to shut down the PA system, I am pretty sure it's a rack of green altec stuff.

LOL bowtie427ss, I mentioned the nifty noir shot of the Iconic in Phanton From Space in a Lansing Heritage thread a while back. It was definitely the high point of that sci-fi turkey.

I'm quite sure those horns are mounted in the bass drums just for looks.

One must admit that Altec sectoral horns have a very high "cool-factor" in the looks dept.

In the movie "Ray" (the Ray Charles story) he is on stage somewhere and on the left side of the stage facing the audience (stage right) there is an A7-500 just behind Ray Charles. It's the scene where the fans are yelling out to him to play some of his Gospel/Blues stuff and he wants to dazzle them with Country. The stage manager orders the lights to be dimmed for the sequence.....Lee
